    HEAD COACH & FOUNDER

    BIO: From a young age Homer has been focused on the well being of the people around him. After an education in the arts, Homer spent the beginning of his career manning the operations of a New York PR Agency before venturing out into freelance photography. It was during this time that he discovered mental and physical benefits of daily exercise, but it wasn’t until he moved to Los Angeles in 2015, and subsequently got sober, that he made it his career. In 2018 Homer opened a new location of Venice’s DEUCE Gym in Hollywood, followed by the short-lived-but-now-legendary Bodybuilding Club brand. 2020 offered some perspective and after surviving the mandatory gym closures, Homer realized exactly the kind of gym he wanted. It took over a year to find the right home, but when our Hyperion location became available Rodeo Athletic Club was born.

    WORK WITH HOMER: Homer’s clients are ready to go the distance. Sure, we can sprint toward summer or get you into that wedding dress on time, but what 1-on-1 training is really about is honing your skills, learning how to access intensity, and building a foundation to continue training for decades to come. Homer will meet you were you are at and then walk you through that process with care and dedication so that you are always excited for your sessions and come away feeling a little better than the day before. Easy going but committed to your progress, Homer is a great coach for beginners and experienced athletes alike.

    TRAINING DIRECTOR & COACH

    BIO: A lifelong athlete, Andrew has always strived to help people find what wellness means to them. After 5 years as a CrossFit coach, he traded in his Nanos to find a more holistic approach to health, using fitness as a tool for life, rather than as life itself. With a CrossFit L1 cert, more than 10 years as a coach, and expertise in bodybuilding/aesthetics, mobility, breath work, Olympic lifting, hot and cold exposure, and training for sport, he’s ready to help you achieve your athletic and aesthetic goals.

    WORK WITH ANDREW: Andrew's clients range from movie-stars getting ready for a shirtless scene to new mom’s embarking on postpartum recovery. Get stronger? Great. Fat loss? Yup. Dance better? He might not help with your kick ball-changes (well, maybe), but you'll move better! He's also a (self-described) great hang!

  • Cortni Joyner (they/them)

    BIO: Cortni is a long time coach and personal trainer with over 10 years of working with people of all ages and abilities. With certifications in Personal Training, Pain Free Performance, Olympic Weightlifting, Nutrition, they love finding unique approaches to each clients wants and needs. They also have a Masters in Kinesiology, and an extensive background in functional fitness, speed, agility, power and quickness adding to the many approaches they take to get you to not just moving, but moving well. Whatever your goal is, they’re ready to help you set and accomplish your individual personal goals

    WORK WITH CORTNI: Whether you’re brand new to fitness or a high level athlete, you’re in good hands with Cortni. They love working with clients who are just starting their journey, and showing them all that they are capable of. As a former professional soccer player, they have also enjoyed training high level athletes. Cortni believes that fitness should feel good! Their goal is to create an environment that is fun and feels safe, not only physically, but also mentally and emotionally, so that clients know they can push themselves without judgement and leave sessions feeling great about themselves.

  • Ceridwyn Quaintance

    BIO: Ceridwyn is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with certifications in Corrective Exercise, Breathwork, and Mobility together with over 10 years of dance and Bikram Yoga experience, as well as weight training. With a focus on mental health, Ceridwyn works with you to help you find the integration of your Body and Mind through corrective exercise and strength training. Just like the brain, EVERY BODY is UNIQUE - and Ceridwyn is here to help you unravel the many muscular intricacies in the body. You’ll discover how your body works, and uncover the most effective strategies to achieve your health and fitness goals.

    WORK WITH CERIDWYN: When you start working with Ceridwyn, you will receive a personalized program that best fits your needs and desires. You will complete a physical examination that consists of your medical history together with muscle testing and other human movement assessments. The analysis determines which muscles are under-active (muscles that aren’t being used effectively) and which are over-active (muscles that are taking on too much work), and other strengths and weaknesses. Together you will identify concrete & realistic goals that will build out a program meeting your needs and goals. Ceridwyn will guide and coach you through workouts & plans supporting you along every step of your journey to health and fitness. Whether you’re looking to work on aesthetics, athletic ability, supplement dance skills, strength, or a way to live more comfortably in your body, she’s your girl.

    BIO: With over six years in the health and fitness industry Dallas has helped a wide range of clientele to achieve their fitness goals. As a former collegiate athlete turned model and actor, he understands the importance of functional movement as well as an aesthetic appearance. His experience, partnered with an extensive education including a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and Minor in Nutrition, Dallas has the tools to help you reach those fitness goals.

    WORK WITH DALLAS: Training with Dallas will put the “fun” in functional training. You’ll start by discussing goals and creating a realistic timeline together, followed up with cheesy jokes and nutrition guidance to get you started on the right track. You’ll leave each session with information and knowledge to achieve a happier and healthier lifestyle that you’ll carry through your day to day.

  • Carly Iwasa

    BIO: For her entire life, Carly has heavily identified with the practice of maintaining and improving physical, mental, and spiritual health. After working through some serious injuries in high school, she became fascinated with the body's ability to heal. She was soon certified through NASM and began her journey as a fitness professional to help others learn to increase their strength, improve well-being, and rehab themselves to build resilience. Over time, she realized the importance of prioritizing recovery in a fitness regimen and achieved incredible results for herself through the use of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. More than a decade later, Carly continued her education to couple with her knack for physical performance and become a practitioner of East Asian Medicine herself -- she is now a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in the state of California.  In addition to her practice, Carly has studied Yoga and Ayurvedic principles in India, and Pelvic Floor exercise techniques under leading expert Sarah Duvall, DPT.  All have informed the results achieved in her work with patients ranging from high-level athletes to more serious health conditions. She describes her training & treatment methodology as results-driven, personalized, and integrative care.


    WORK WITH CARLY: After working with 700+ patients and numerous personal training clients over the years, Carly is prepared to help no matter what level of training you're at. Carly begins your onboarding with an extensive physical assessment and health history, and guides you in setting goals to devise the most effective plan of action. From her custom programming, you can expect a range of services from thorough nutritional advice, meditation and/or journal prompts, eastern medicine & acupuncture treatment plans, to herbal medicine and supplement prescriptions, in conjunction to your 1-on-1 workouts with her."

    BIO: KatieMichal has always been on the move, after cheerleading and dancing she found her way to Boxing. After 5 years of hard work to become the only Lead Female Boxing Coach she decided it was time to mix up her world of boxing and dive into weightlifting. For the past 5 yrs she has been helping her clients achieve their goals, with strength training, general fitness and mobility. With a Pain Free Performance Cert and 10 years in the fitness industry KatieMichal is always keeping things focused towards your journey, and fun.

    WORK WITH KATIEMICHAL: KatieMichal believes first in creating a safe place for anyone of any background or level. Being comfortable so you can get to work. You'll get the inside look on your own personalized training. Knowledge is power! She was never a good test taker so don't worry no pop quizzes. KatieMichal will keep you motivated and excited to come and train together.

  • Nicholas Zimmerman

    BIO: A native Hoosier, Nick moved to Los Angeles and took an office job, but Nick knew he wanted to do more than just work at a desk doing scheduling for a network. HIs passion for fitness led him to return to school to complete his exercise science degree after becoming a certified personal trainer. Nick has 15 years of coaching experience with youth athletes, retirees and everyone in between, from beginners to more experienced lifters who want to push past a plateau. Where he shines is building a connection with each client and making them feel heard to build safe and effective programs that will challenge and build strength without leaving them just feeling completely gassed each session. He has his bachelor's degree in exercise science, is a certified NASM nutrition coach, ACE certified personal trainer and NASM corrective exercise specialist. His skills span from creating individualized lifting plans based on client goals, whether that’s fat loss, strength or muscle building, as well as nutrition recommendations, which go hand-in-hand with fat-loss and muscle gaining protocols.

    WORK WITH NICK: Nick is able to meet clients where they are in their fitness journey to focus on realistic and achievable results. No two clients are alike and neither should their training or nutrition plans. Each session builds upon prior sessions to stack strength, skill and habits that direct each client on the path to their goals that last beyond just looking beach-ready.     BIO:
    Alex Jolicoeur knows firsthand the power of movement. Growing up, he played every sport he could—cross country, track & field, wrestling, tae kwon do, baseball—but it wasn’t until he moved to Los Angeles that he discovered strength training as a tool for confidence, longevity, and mental well-being. After years of training himself, he began coaching peers in the nightlife scene, creating a community around movement and self-improvement. Seeing the impact fitness had on his own life, he decided to take things further and pursue his NASM certification.

    Alex specializes in working with beginners, busy professionals, creatives, and anyone looking to reconnect with their body and feel strong in their own skin. Whether your goal is to build muscle, improve mobility, or just feel good taking your shirt off, Alex provides a supportive space for growth. His approach focuses on posture, technique, and small adjustments that make a big difference. Training with Alex feels like working out with a friend—one who will challenge you, keep you accountable, and celebrate every win along the way.
